The media are complicit and let's face it, the vast majority of Americans aren't paying attention and will just lap up whatever crap the MSM feed them.
That's where the protests should be - in front of the local tv stations that aren't covering this.

No, I’m a woman. I didn’t mean to ignore the very serious deficiencies in our criminal justice system. However, we are extremely privileged to live in this country that has equal rights for women under law. Not every woman does. And the women coming here claiming asylum due to fear of sexual assault in their own country are doing so because they do not have functioning police or judicial systems, and can expect no legal redress if they are sexually assaulted. I am very happy I live in a country where this little girl was able to report this awful crime. I am glad this little girl Ives in such a country, whether or not she is a citizen or has authorization to have entered the country. I do not want this country to turn into a place where this little girl or her parents are afraid to report such a crime because they are afraid they will be deported and subject to even more violence in their home country.

Wait and see how the fair and just US judicial system treats this young girl.
The victim in the Rockville rape case was only 14. Just three years older. And it was deemed ‘consensual’.
I hope this girl gets justice, but the US judicial system can be just as dysfunctional.
