Exactly. This is a “but for” situation. This would never have happened but for the grandpa. And deep down the family knows it.
You have evidence that there was an open window in a location accessible to guests 150 above ground level on the ship prior to this incident?
What are you talking about?
Yes, there are tons of videos on YouTube of people vacationing and walking around that exact deck of that exact ship and walking past those exact windows that were open. Not to mention all the photos that no doubt exist.
The windows are tinted a bright blue. And the windows that open have handles attached to them. The openings have tracks along the bottom where the glass panel slides across to open and close it, just like windows in your home or anywhere else.
Use your brain before your keyboard. The only people defending this family are the ones who have no idea what they're talking about.

NP. People suing over their own stupidity makes the world less fun and more expensive for reasonable people.

Grief does not give one carte blanche to go on a legal and monetary stampede in order to quell one's grieving. It is a sad reflection of today's generation of entitlement that half of you think that even though this was 100% the fault of the grandfather, that a company should in any way shape or form have to compensate them just because they caused, and now have to deal with, the death of their own child. Unbelievable.
I completely agree with this above. No company or entity should be held accountable because of an individuals own negligence. Regardless of the outcome of the negligence.

I'm not sure the family has really thought through the lawsuit strategy. Obviously they are hoping for a quick settlement but if RC pushes back at all, the family is going to have to relive this nightmare again and again and again during the litigation process.

It’s about the lawsuit. I can’t believe someone commented on a thread without reading it.
I read some of it. What I have read is not worth another thread. And there are many many posts on the lawsuit in the first thread.
There was no lawsuit at the time of the first thread. Just speculation. The parents have now confirmed it, hence the new thread. If you don’t want to discuss it - why are you here? There’s clearly interest on this site.
Exactly. The parents have confirmed on TV that they 100% blame Royal and 0% blame the guy who leaned her on an open window and let go. It’s news.
