Trump created this crisis.

No matter how a child came to be here, a child deserves food, shelter, clothing, medical care.
I bet the people who are staunch pro-birthers are the ones saying these kids don't deserve any care. Shame on you!!!
Truly a basket of deplorables.
Get out your pocketbook and write a check! Drive to the border with donations! Offer to house and feed and don't leave until you have a carload.
No one one here will volunteer to do sh!t. They just like talking about it.
They want "the government" to do it
We want the government to provide minimally humane care to the children that Trump has chosen to keep in prison. Yeah. That is not a big ask.
There was testimony from months ago saying this is a crisis. Those people testifying to congress begged for money to address it. The president said it was a crisis last year as well but I bet you were one of the ones blowing it off as a political stunt for the election. So now here we sit after democrats sat on their asses for months blowing off the warnings of the president and those who testified to congress and now wag their fingers at the conditions these immigrants are in. Unbelievable.

The folks here could caravan to the border or a drop off station to pick up kids and/or families. They won’t.
Why won’t you?
Because I'm not the one accusing others of not doing enough, while not doing enough. So many here volunteering their homes but not one physically mobilizing to go get these kids. But they feel so generous and woke just saying it.
In other words if you know something terrible is going on in something run by the government just shut up because there’s nothing you can do. Never mind that public outcry can make politicians act.
Sorry you don’t care about 2 year olds sitting in their soiled diapers and eating uncooked rice in federal detention.
I am well-aware of what an orchestrated collapse looks like, and last time I checked, groups like La Raza aren't run by GOP.
All you liberals know how to do is deliberately create a crisis, then scream "help".
Again, go down and pick up the two year old. I assume you have a vehicle and gas money? Have you left yet?

What do you think a wall will do?
If you want fewer refugees then (a) punish the employers who are hiring them (AKA GOP) and (b) make it safer for them at home (don’t cut off aid).
Aid clearly isn't helping as a million are showing up at our border. Dont give more money in aid since they are after the remittances anyway.
Romney just introduced an e-verify bill. Let's see who supports it and who doesn't.
Trump has been cutting aid from day 1. It was helping - measurable results - before he pulled the rug out from under that.

When the lawyers saw the 2-year-old boy, he wasn’t wearing a diaper and had wet his pants, and his shirt was smeared in mucus. They said at least 15 children at the facility had the flu, and some were kept in medical quarantine. Children told lawyers that they were fed uncooked frozen food or rice and had gone weeks without bathing or a clean change of clothes at the facility in Clint, in the desert scrubland some 25 miles southeast of El Paso.
The details come after acting Customs and Border Protection Commissioner John Sanders admitted this week that the agency is over capacity and struggling to deal with unaccompanied migrant children. The agency is holding 15,000 people, he said, while 4,000 is considered the limit.

Congress is actively doing something, on a bipartisan basis.
Does the AP know this?
I assume so, since they are smart people. But, they are reporting on a Court hearing, where the Trump admin argued that no matter how much money we allocate, toothbrushes and soap are luxuries that they do not intend to revise.
No, the liberal press is misconstruing what transpired. As usual. The judge referred to an overnight stay and said toothbrushes and soap aren't necessary depending on length of stay. You think we need to hand out toothbrushes and toothpaste the instant they get here? The system is overwhelmed, and these children's parents took them on a long journey without toothbrushes. Now liberals are having a fit because Americans aren't distributing them the first night. They did without them for weeks; they can go without them for one more night.
Don't you people understand that the system is being overwhelmed with all these false cases of asylum?
Thank you. Finally, some sanity in a sea of melodrama and outright lies.
