Nope. They will interrogate them until one or the other gives enough information to find the body. I'm guessing the girlfriend will give it away to get a lighter sentence.
Or no sentence?
The girlfriend of the Colorado dad #2 cleaned up a townhouse full of blood. Then came clean with the authorities almost two months after Kelsey Berreth went missing. She plead guilty to evidence tampering and her sentencing is suspended until the murder trial is concluded.
But the max she'll get is 3 years and honestly with the courts these days - 12 months in and the rest on house arrest.

Wow. Aunt Becky will serve more time.
In the above case, the gf flipped and gave them the murderer. Yes, when you give evidence and testimony crucial to conviction, you get a much better deal.
Also technically she is the ONLY reason they have a case against him. Apparently the townhouse clean-up was top-notch and Kelsey's body was never recovered (probably has something to do with the fact that he chopped up, burned, and discarded the remains in a river or landfill).
Guy was thorough.
I bet something similar happened in this case, ie: with the remains, and their only hope may be getting the gf to flip.

Yea, bummer.
Seen his mugshot? Not hot.

She's not taking care of her 10-year old child. The father has custody.

She may not have known it was going to happen and doesn’t have a back-up plan on where to go.
She was just a wee bit too focused on moving into a home with a guy whom she viewed as wealthy, athletic, and attractive--- with absolutely no regard for what's best for her daughter or his kids and all that they were going through. And he clearly wasn't focusing on his kids and what's best for them either. Talk about selfish and cold...

They met at an Ivy League school. He was not obviously a thug.

There is something wrong with you.
He looks like a short, soon-to-be bald loser who spends too much time looking in the mirror. The high heeled boots speak volumes. He looks evil to me.

Oh please. Have you ever posed for a passport or driver's license photo where you are not allowed to smile? We all look crazy, mean and even on drugs for those photos.
You can smile.
Not in Virginia, not any more.
