I hate the new target in Rockville/north bethesda. I can find a thing and I used to love going there. The makeup aisles are so cramped I cannot get my cart in there.

Trick to find an item if u are going insane and there is nobody to help - keep the online page open on your page and search for the item. When it comes up, chose the store location and if they have it in stock, it will show the aisle the item is in. Then go all over th store and look for that aisle. This is time consuming but last time I went there was not one person on the floor to help so I used this to find my items.

Costco.

Definitely Costco. It’s so much cheaper - like 50% cheaper- and you go once and you’re done for 4-6 weeks.

I'd go to Costco more if they could figure out their GD parking lot and check out lines. And the gas lines. It's the worst experience EVER anytime I go to Costco. I love shopping there, but everything else is awful. I went to costco yesterday at 2pm and it was a mad house. Sterling Costco is normally where I go.

Well, probably everyone is going just before school pickup at that hour? Go earlier or later and you’re probably good. Never on a Saturday, omg!!
People are even running in that place as the doors close at 6 on weekends.

Best idea is probably join Costco and have paper goods delivered?

OMG, you may have just changed my life!! I didn't realize they delivered? Must investigate!

So back to Target - I have them deliver all paper products, free 2-day(ish) shipping and 5% RedCard discount - works well.

Costco paper goods are a 1000 times cheaper, red card or not. Nice try Target “executive”

I love Target! We go yo the Rockville one and the new Bethesda mini one. Also find it to be the best place to get our flu shots. (Each person gets a $5 gift card)

Is 2pm a bad time for Costco? I used to go at 12 and that was worse because of the lunch crowd. After 4pm is a disaster. I can’t go early. Please someone tell me when to go to Costco. It’s so packed I feel like they need a sign like the ERs “gas-40 minutes”

3 pm? Kid school pickup time?

I was in there today, and shocked. I rarely look at the women’s clothes. I always assume junky and unattractive. But today I was perusing, their swim suits, cute pool/beach bags, women’s athletic and casual wear, PJs, bras and undies, cute tops. Nice muted colors.

Nope.

Yes, this right here is my problem. The random displays blocking all the aisles. I actually have time and energy to look through the crap and nonsensensical layout, but I do not have the patience to navigate through huge displays. I can’t even stop to look at anything without blocking the main aisle!

+2
It's all so disorderly and distracting. I was looking for kids' clothes, and bam! in the middle was a gift wrap display. Do I need a gift bag? Now I'm confused. I thought I was looking for girls' shorts. My mind is muddled. What's this, next to the pajamas? Glue sticks? So confused. I need to leave.

The Easter candy is next to the Deet & other insecticide sprays - yum yum!

YES!!! WTF?!

I go there too! I agree, the parking lot is a madhouse. I've started avoiding the gas pumps altogether because the lines are waaaay too long and I can get a better price by using my Giant or Safeway points at Shell and/or Sunoco.

Anonymous wrote:I'm not a shill for Target, but I haven't had this experience. There were even rows of shoes and I was able to find what I was looking for (white Easter shoes for DD).

I haven't been happy with the new clothes though. They're cheap, thin material and they fit really weird. I'm postpartum and was hoping for some nice jeans until I can go down a size. No such luck.

I was also looking for jeans and all I could see was a wall of denim - literally packed displays of denim. Everything was too close together to stand back and get a good look at the different styles/cuts, so I gave up and walked away. Target, you're losing customers.

Also - HUGE racks of clearance clothing. Because no one can see what's there anymore!! No wonder they're having to get rid of so much. Idiots.
