Own a home. I’ve been questioned LE at least twice in the six years since I bought my home. The second time I had to show ID and a white neighbor stepped in to “validate” that I belong there. I live in a pretty diverse area, but not diverse enough with black people I guess.

Drive. I get pulled over at least 2x annually throughout the DMV area. Zero stops were for breaking any laws. Typically the reason is suspicion of stolen car, theft or some other crime they claim to be pursuing and I apparently “meet the description”. I haven’t received a ticket or even a warning in over 20 years.

People automatically assume your kid is dumb. But, I love the looks on their faces when she pulls straight As in all her advanced classes and scored in the top 4% of Maryland on PARCC.
