And why should he deny it? Tom Friedman will never retract his column. Trump and Jared are still in hock to the ME ruling elite. What will the consequences be, if MBS laughingly admits it in tape, with this administration in DC?

Do you think it's out of line to point out that he was, in fact, a longtime regime loyalist? That he has in fact applauded the execution of political opposition members? That the "humble roots" thing is bullshit?



It is fine to point those things out. But if you use those things to justify his murder -- which was done -- then obviously I will object. Basically your position has been that Khashoggi was a terrible person and that he had his murder coming. Unlike you, I don't think that murders like this should simply be ignored because the victim was not a choir boy. Regardless of Khashoggi's transgressions, he was a prominent member of the media. Brushing off his murder is exactly the wrong message to send in these days in which multiple leaders are identifying the media as the enemy of the people.
