I'm struggling with that. I haven't voted for a Republican in years. Hogan is one of the few I'm okay with and I don't think Jealous is qualified.

+1 NP here lest I be accused by the one poster who can't fathom that many people oppose Hogan. Maryland education has tanked during Hogan's tenure, and he's bad for Marylanders who value a life without bigotry (Hogan refused to speak up against the Muslim ban) or violence against women (refused to deploy resources to investigate Christine Blasey Ford's allegations.) I'm voting for Jealous.

You keep saying some variation of this, over and over.
You really don't think you're actually fooling anyone into thinking these posts are from multiple people, do you?
I made a similar comment in the thread on why aren’t people rallying around jealous. I am not the poster above. Does it really surprise that multiple people share this sentiment?
Not really surprising, but the lack of intellectual rigor is pretty disheartening.
You're right, it's disheartening, and not ideal, but this is where this horrible partisanship has landed us, and it only makes me want to back my party even more. Plus, didn't you see Hogan in the debate trying to take credit for a bunch of things that the Democratic legislature forced him to do? Gross.

I am a super left winger, progressive, anti Trump, anti gun, pro choice, Medicare for all, you name it. I will need pretty good reason not to vote for Hogan, of whom I don't fully agree with on most things, because Jealous was a train wreck at their debate. He was awful. Facts were wrong, and he kept repeating the same Willie Horton meme. He had nothing to bring to the table. Kamenetz would have gotten this, but I don't think Jealous is up to the job.

That's the only way the county will get the revenue it needs to make a truly transformational change in the programs it offers to low income and other underserved people.
Say what? I am all for paying my share but at 9% we are already high. MoCo is at the top of the county tax rates (and is getting that on higher average incomes). Now that state taxes are no longer deductible higher rates have even more of an impact. If MD taxes go higher I will change my residence to my second home state and them MD/MoCo loses all of it. We are 1%ers, so I'm sure Jealous would be happy to see us go.
Posters like the original PP and the one not accepting reality that low income first gen immigrant esol students will be correlated with lower average test scores are really making jealous voters and progressive Dems look stupid
After reading this thread I lean towards voting for Hogan even though I don't like his beltway plan
I'm worried we are going to lose our high income Moco residents with policies from jealous and elrich. Won't vote for either as a demo
That being said, I'm expecting a child and might benefit from universal pre k.
What do people think? Some in this thread are opposed to it, but I'm curious about it
