I like Chico's long sleeve/3-quarter sleeve V-necks. The fabric is so soft and they keep their shape after many washings.

Chicos solid T shirts for me have superior quality and last years, but I don't wear or like the overall aesthetic. Talbots used to be better IMO, but there should be no hate if their basic pants are a good fit...

Talbots has very well made items. I'll buy a few things there because the quality and attention to detail is amazing. Having said that I think Loft has basically the same styles with a bit more edge and a lot less price tag.

So funny. I love the “I was in shape in the 80s.” I wish I had bigger boobs so I tunic covered all. Sadly for the flat chested a tunic just looks like the snake that swallowed the elephant in the Little Prince.

I'm from New England and love the Talbot's look- lots of color= I'm so tired of the prarie dresses and boring lack of color clothes, I'd love to see preppy come back in fashion.

I surprised myself and got some good jeans there that I wore for years.

They are Milly. Fit beautifully. They look classic and expensive.

There you go. Talbots sells nothing that falls like these pants.

They are expensive. That's a $400 pair of pants. And super-limited sizing. I'm not going to say they are ugly (I quite like them), but given that they size from 0-14 with no petite or talls, and that they are an "odd" shape that many folks don't like, I don't think they are the answer to "where are women over 45 supposed to shop".

I have an amazing pair of very light Italian wool pants and blazer that I got at Talbots 2 years ago. I liked them so much that I bought a second set.

I am 40 and have some great lined wool work pants and skirts that I bought a decade ago at Talbots and still wear. I stopped in more recently but couldn't find anything I liked. I will buy clothes from any store if they are made of good quality materials and well constructed. Lately, many store have been selling more shapeless items that are cheaper to make but sadden me.

Talbot’s = Old Maid

I love both too. I’m a swimmer and get dressed for work in a locker room. Most of their clothes is comfortable, especially love the jackets. I spend a fortune on shoes though.
