Yup. What has happened here is more than a double standard. It's condemning racism on one hand while justifying or excusing it on the other. Only the object of the hate speech determines whether it should be condemned or excused, apparently.

I dispute your definition of hate speech. Jeong wasn’t engaging in hate speech. Therefore I am not excusing hate speech.

Actual hate speech gets excused by many of you all the time. Just look at the posts defending Trump earlier in this thread.

Yes, I frequently admit being wrong. In this case, the original allegation is that she had tweeted hateful tweets for years. Two years is technically "years" I guess, so that part is true. However, I still dispute that the tweets were hateful. I think the tweets were sarcasm and mockery and not motivated by hate, but rather as a means of making a point.

Her hateful, sorry - “sarcastic and mocking” tweets continue into 2017.
