Come on. FIFA has a many-year history of match fixing. Russia for its part has a many-year history of drugging its athletes. Thinking that this is a possibility in this tournament is realistic.

NP. The Russian goalie was amazing. But I think it's totally naive to not at least acknowledge there's a real chance of match fixing. This is FIFA, played in Russia. It seems ripe for corruption.

Of course the game itself is political, and people use the players, teams, and fans for political purposes, but that doesn’t mean that YOU have to bring politics into this, a soccer forum. You want to discuss the game, something relevant to the topic? Cool. But instead you’re just trying to get a little pop off about Putin and Trump. Why? Spain had vast superiority in possession, and were absolutely stale with it.
