No, no, no...... Roses luxury is in no way overrated. The queue is a hassle but the price is reasonable and the food is superb!

“Queue?” I thought we were talking about DC, not London, restaurants. Or maybe you’re just trying to sound fancy.

Its just a better word, more precise.. If I say "the wait" its pretty vague. "The line" not really ideal either. I don't know, is there a better way to say it? I mean I grew up in Michigan but I quickly adopted this from my English friends because I thought it was a more efficient way of describing it.

You get there before it opens, and you stand in . . . wait for it . . . a line. "The line" works fine. Stop putting on airs.

Compare
"You get there before it opens, and you stand in . . . wait for it . . . a line"
to "queue"

Much simpler. I have no affinity for England which you seem to as you thinks queue is fancy whereas I think its just a word.
Restroom/bathroom is superior to water closet to me *shrugs*

You’re an idiot. You don’t say, “You get there before it opens, and you stand in . . . wait for it . . . a line.” You just say “the line” instead of “the queue.” Just own up to the fact that you want to put on airs, it’s fine (which is ridiculous, btw, given that you are from Michigan LOL).

You wrote that.... and Michigan is awesome but areas rise and fall. DC was trash when I was a kid.

DC is still trash. I’m not from Michigan, I’m not from DC, and I’m not putting on airs. I’m also not the PP who wrote that.

DC people like to think they "made it", PP. Thankfully, its not the be all and end all for some of us.

DC is fine. Many of the people the rest of the country send here to run the nation are trash. Looking at you, flyover country.

This. After six years in DC I am coming to this realization. Mind-blowing ethnic food from all over the planet and a bunch of pretentious and mediocre "fancy" places.

This. Ethnic restaurants a 10. All the latest trendy restaurants a 2.

To OP, why the F did you drive out to Ashburn to eat? Unless you live in Frederick or something, I don't know why anyone would drive there for a meal.

Re FF, because it’s packed, all the time, which, now having eaten there, I really don’t understand.

I don't really understand everyone saying Seasons 52 is overrated. It's a chain run by the same people that run Olive Garden. They used to have Red Lobster but it looks like they sold that off. Anyone that has built it up as some fine dining experience deserves to be disappointed.

I like it, but in the same way I like any chain... it's decent, predictable food and the price is pretty reasonable (especially their flatbreads and flights). If you're traveling for work and don't know anything about the food scene, it's a reliable choice.

I feel like having it in this thread is equivalent to having Outback Steakhouse or Bertuccis in this thread.
