My husband is 5'8'' and everyone I knew tried to dissuade me from marrying him because he was short. I am two inches shorter than him and didn't care.

Because if we do go out on the initial date when we aren't really interested, then turn the guy down, we are criticized for wasting his time and money and for not putting out. Easier to just say no right from the get-go.

Not being interested in certain men doesn't make women a snot. Most people have a very good idea of what they do and don't want, and if you don't fit the bill, why waste everyone's time? Trust me, a guy who calls women snots, stereotypes entire groups, and gets mad because some women don't fit their definition of what REAL women are isn't going to magically win me over on one date.
