I did phen about 6 months before my wedding. Lost about 60 pounds. Tried it again a few years later after having my second kid, it did not work. I'm currently doing Keto and I haven't felt such a low appetite and diet control since on Phen. I definitely think it works, but for me only once!

As I understand it, the low dose of Prozac (or other alternatives, depending on if you experience side effects) allows the phen to be effective for a longer time— on its own, the phen is only effective for a few weeks, and the Prozac makes the phen effective longer for reducing cravings/hunger. I’m taking 20 mg which is a dose for an average adult. I don’t feel any different from the Prozac, that I can tell, but then again I was not depressed when I started taking it. I do feel better on a daily basis, but I think it’s because I stopped eating all of the sugar and artificial sweeteners I had been consuming, and cutting out alcohol. If it is the Prozac instead, I don’t feel medicated or ‘not myself’. Just my experience, I know others react differently.

Old fashioned Sudafed? The kind with pseudoephedrine as the main ingredient?

I’m pretty sure it’s a combination of perimenopause and a bad bout of seasonal affective disorder but I’m concerned if I don’t get things in hand I’ll keep gaining.

This is true - once you go from peri to meno the weight just keeps coming.

Go to Dr. Anchors for his phen/Prozac combo. I have lost 20 lbs since July 20. And phen is a kickstart not a crutch, like PP said: I also drastically changed my eating habits, cutting out junk food, added sugar, and anything with baked white flour; went from very little activity to moderate exercise 3x week; stopped my 2-3 beers per day habit; and managed to break my dependence on coffee. I realized it was time for a change and finally motivated to look for some help. I feel much better and am somewhat horrified to look back on the bad rut I was in for a few years (resulting to a 35 lb gain). Could I have done this on my own? Maybe, but knowing me not likely. For me implementing any change is the hardest part, and the phen/Prozac combo helped me get over that hurdle and reinforced my willpower to change my diet by helping to control the initial cravings for the extra sugar etc that I had gotten used to consuming. Not everyone needs this type of aid but I definitely do, can’t say enough good things.

Was that based on your height? I went there and my weight was in the 140s, though I'm 5'2".

Just try another weight loss clinic. There’s dozens. Granted I’m in LA, but getting Phentermine here isn’t difficult at all.

why is that not a surprise?

What about your heart?
You may not be diagnosed with anything now, but down the road, your heart could be in very bad shape.
It’s not safe.

Nothing is safe anymore. Might as well be thin and confident.

Losing weight is hard, but keeping the weight off is harder. Most of the people on this thread will be back to where they were in less than 8 years. I lost 25lb twice and gained it back in the last 12 years.
