Maybe she took a cab home; as she was arriving home at 8:43am (if that time was correct), she realized she left her bags in the cab, easy to do after a night of partying.
She turned around and left the building to try to stop the taxi from driving away.
Or maybe she was afraid to go home. After her troubles and the fight at the courthouse. Maybe it was the last straw. Nobody really ever knows what goes on behind closed doors. Maybe someone was helping her start over. Maybe they advised her to NOT return to the apartment for her things. Maybe they suggested she purchase her own shoes and undergarments, and they'd supply clothing at a shelter. Maybe the bed linens were for some sort of shelter hopping she would be doing. Maybe it wasn't her seen in the security video.

1) a fake SSN will get you a job, not everyone reports it.
2) You are assuming that is she DID in fact try to disappear, she decided to do so by staying in the US...it’s more probably that she left the country altogether if that is what she did.

Anonymous wrote:There was a law and order many years ago with a somewhat similar plot line. A husband tried to cover up murdering his wife by claiming she died in the attacks on 9/11. In the show they found her body in the rubble and the gotcha (spoiler alert!) was that she was carrying an evening bag not her work bag so they figured out she died the evening of 9/10. Now I want to go back and watch that episode to see if it is inspired by this story. For some reason the episode stuck with me because it made me think what else was out there that the attack covered up.

However, that doesn't account for some other potholes. That one that stands out to me the most is - when she returned to the apartment building (if that's her on the tapes), why didn't she have any of her shopping bags? Did she purchase those things to give to someone else? If so, who is that person and why did they never come forth with information? Also - who was the person that the clerk claimed they saw with Sneha at Century 21? Her cousin...I forget her name, but wasn't she supposed to come over for dinner last night? If Sneha wasn't around, why didn't she contact Ron inquiring about her whereabouts, unless she knew something more. Yes, she went out a lot (which could explain why she didn't come home that night), and was a doctor that lived right by the WTC (which could explain how she died), but it's the smaller details that keep me from fully believing that this mystery is a simple one.

Sneha had argued with her husband at the courthouse that morning (her husband denies that)
Sneha's brother had walked in on Sneha and his former girlfriend having sex (her brother denies ever telling police that).
Sneha had been charged with making a false accusation to police (she accused a man of groping her) and had been in court the morning of her disappearance.
Sneha was known to frequent gay bars and to stay out all night at her friends' places w/o letting her husband know where she was.
Sneha did not come home on 9/10 after her shopping trip at a store to buy lingerie and bedding. And those shopping bags have never been recovered.
Some questions:
What were Sneha's finances like? Did she have large student loan payments? If she had been convicted of giving a false statement to police would would her punishment have been and what would the consequences have been to her professional career?
As far as what happened to Sneha. I am leaning towards her taking the opportunity to disappear and go somewhere to start her life over again.

I believe this is the truth. There's a very large network of people who help abused women do this kind of disappearing.
I'm not saying she was one, but maybe she hated her life enough to lie to get the resources available to help. Or perhaps it was some kind of LGBTQ+ group who helped. The date could have just been a total coincidence.
I just don't think she perished on 9/11 in the towers as a hero. There are too many missing gaps in accounting for her whereabouts on 9/10 and the early morning of 9/11 for that to be a good explanation.
Someone earlier mentioned she could have met her demise on 9/10 as the victim of foul play. That is so eerie to think about and it also makes me wonder, could there be others? Were there other people killed on 9/11 or even in the days following that we just don't know about? Since communication systems were all down that day and even some the next day, could relatives have assumed a lack of communication from their loved ones in the city meant that they'd perished in the towers?
