You're right of course but there is no upside to continuing an argument with an irrational actor.
There is an upside to admitting you played the game and lost. You thought that "getting in" was a game based on getting the highest score on the SAT and GPA and you were wrong. Instead of just accepting that you were wrong you want to point out into the world and say, the world is wrong.
It's not healthy, seek help.

My child is White, has a 4.2 GPA, takes all AP courses and a 1,400 SAT and doubt he will get into his preferred school.
What is really unique about an American student with straight As in the USA given in every city in America and every high school in America half the students have straight As (the majority are on the Honor rolls)?
Do you think Harvard has enough chairs to accommodate all your genius and brilliant children with straight As?
What does straight As mean in American education when As are given out like M and Ms across the land?
Straight As are quickly following the path of meaninglessness from an academic or intellectual perspective. If an American high school student doesn't have straight As there is something wrong with him or her!

Haha......my daughter asked the same thing. She was hoping there was a native american great grandmother somewhere in our past.
My mom recently did a DNA test and the results showed she was majorly Hispanic. A huge surprise bc she grew up believing her ancestors were French. Maybe my DD will choose to check the Hispanic box on her college applications.
That is not what colleges care about anymore.
They are looking for '"1st generation to attend college" "s1t gen am" or "spent time is foster care" race really is useless on apps now
You still could dump your kid into the foster care system.
What planet do you live on? Race remains a major factor in admissions.
No. If 2 people have the exact same background but different race, they will be measured the same. If they had a "different" background they will be measured differently ... Like the white girl that worked as a janitor in her school.
Are you just being willfully ignorant or are you truly this ill-informed? What do you think affirmative action does? It attempts to balance the playing field by making significant accommodations for URM applicants. A Princeton study of race and admissions found that on average colleges were giving a 250 point accommodation for black students, something like 150 for latinos and a negative 70 for asians. Try and educate yourself on a topic before spouting off your nonsense.
Are you being willfully ignorant or are you truly this ill-informed? You think an Asian with a father who owns a company (I know rare) is measure the same way an Asian from Wootton HS. They are not. The Asian with a hook will get the same advantage as any kid with a hook.
You think a white lacrosse player at Harvard has the same SAT scores as a white person without a hook?
You think that a black student who is a recruited athlete has the same SAT scores as a black kid who does not play a sport.
You can't lump kids/races ... the math is not telling you the story.
A hispanic girl who is a 3rd generation american with rich parents and ancestors from Spain are not measured with the same stick as a hispanic girl who came to this country from El Salvador at 12. Her score that is 150 points lower than a white kid with food and tutors is way more impressive and tells a better story than your 150 points.
Being Asian is the opposite of having a hook. And the rest of your anecdotal hypotheticals are ridiculous. Just read the Princeton study and try not to be such a bore.
I have read all kinds of studies including the one that kids with his IQ are less successful than kids with IQ's in the "sweet spot".
The fact is that you thought you were playing a game and you thought you knew the rules, but you didn't and you pissed away 18 years of your kids life test prepping them instead of preparing them for life.
The solution is to stop taking Asians with high test scores and take the ones in the "sweet spot" who have a more interesting story.
Ad hominem argument shows that you don't actually have an argument... it's like a white flag, I accept your surrender.

Great- so let's base it on SES then.
