Not trolling, just, wow- guess not many come from SF/NYC/Boston where that's completely normal.
I agree. Basically op is just saying she wants to date a man with a professional job. In other words, some sort of office worker.
I dated a good bit before meeting and marrying my husband and almost every man I dated made this sort of salary by the time he was in his 30s
I highly doubt OP would turn down a resident doctor or someone in grad school, just started a business etc. she just wants a motivated man with a college degree, which isn't that unusual.

That's not the point. The point is that OP has made a man's salary one of her top priorities in a man, but also expects him to not be a workaholic, and be fun, etc. Meanwhile she brings in $60k a year.
And guess what? Guarantee you that most men on the dating scene expect OP to be hot and eventually the expectation is she will have a man's children for him.
I am just saying the people yelling gold digger around here must be from out of town. Around here 150k is modest.

$100k HOUSEHOLD income is considered low income in San Francisco. That means two people earning $50k each is low income in SF. In the SF Bay Area, the median income was $88k in 2016. I need to find more data, but I'd be mildly surprised if $150k income is anything less than top 15% for the Bay Area and probably around top 10% when age adjusted.
Anonymous wrote:Ivy philosophy major man here. It's not that hard to find $150 types here. You just have to know where to look. $150 is GS 15, however, which is the top of the GS scale. So if a fed makes it to $150, that's probably as much as he'll ever make. Some make more by getting promoted to the Senior Executive Service, but that's very few and they're never young. If $150 is enough, know where to look. It's hard at most government agencies, like the IRS, because only managers are GS 15 there. At DOJ, however, most trial lawyers end up as GS 15 if they stay long enough even if they never become managers, and many trial lawyers never want to be managers, and may still be young. Of course, if they don't stay long enough they'll wind up in big law and make much more. The challenge is meeting DOJ men. They keep them behind locked doors. There's an annual meeting of lonely tax lawyers at the Reagan Center attended by both big law and DOJ tax lawyers. If you're hot and outgoing, you could easily meet someone there.

Is it normal to give salary requirements when you go on dates in those cities? If so, maybe OP should live there, although I'm not sure how she could given she only makes $60k/year.
