No bidding war.. just one buyer that overpaid in my opinion. I'll keep an eye on it though to see how it appreciates

Idk how that is going to work. Old Towne is a patchwork of really beautiful older homes, and really ugly bland ranches. Almost all of them are rented out.

For example: this home has a great and rare lot size for the neighborhood and the potential to be beautiful...but who is paying750k for this in this neighborhood AND put the work into it to rehab and convert it back into a SFH?

I've poked around on walks and it looks really nice! I'll be interested to see how they sell. They have tried to restrict buyers to owner-occupants so it will also be good to see how that plays out. I'm not sure I would want to live in Old Town with kids because of all the college students and parties. And they are north of the area zoned for UPES, but Paint Branch Elementary is evidently on the up and up.


That is true but it's one of the few opportunities to own a new SFH w/in walking distance to the Whole Foods.
