I wanted a girl and was really bummed when I found out my second was another boy. I continued longing for a girl until my youngest was almost 2. But now my boys are 7 and 5. I wouldn't change a thing. I'm so happy with them that ever wanting a girl is a distant memory.

I'm the PP who made the nasty comment about a girl screaming I hate you and finding self worth through a boyfriend. What a horrible generalization and assumption, right? Kind of like the original poster. #caseinpoint

I love my boys and will never admit to wanting a girl because, from the bottom, of my heart, I don't.

This entire post is idiotic and offensive to those mothers that have boys and are perfectly content with that.

I really don't envy you and your girls - for many reasons.

Hm, well no, I can't "ACTUALLY admit" that, because I don't wish I had a girl. It's not anything against girls, it's just that I'm happy with my kids, who happen to be boys, and I don't wish I had a girl. Sorry to disappoint you, OP. Some people actually are truly, completely satisfied with what they have.

I'm the pp above. I mean do you speak from experience? Also, I was not a mini-me of my Mom and my two DD's are not mini-me's of me. Are your boys mini-me's of your DH? Probably not! Each child has some characteristics of parents but, for the most part are their own individual people.

You do realize that you are making huge assumptions of what girls are like? I think you must have treated your mother poorly and that is why you wish girls would act horrible to their mothers.

I love having boys, and feel extra lucky to watch the whole brother dynamic. My boys are so fun, and really sweet together. I'm sure if I had girls, I would love it too. I've honestly never really had a preference in the sex of my kids. For me, all in ever wanted was to get to be a mom to happy and healthy kids. I feel so lucky that I got that, as it wasn't always easy to get there.
