Um, no. Generally royals do not marry for love.
Charles did the second time.
Most men kick aside the old battleaxe for the trophy wife, he kicked aside the trophy wife and married the old battleaxe.
Gotta give him credit for... something... ingenuity? free spiritedness? nah I'll go with stupidity.
Charles' grandmother and two of her ladies in waiting concocted the relationship with Diana so that Charles could marry a virgin. If you read anything of Diana's childhood, you would know why she was such an insecure mess and was looking for a daddy figure. Out popped an opportunity to be treated like the princess she envisioned herself and she eagerly followed her grandmother's order to marry Charles.
Charles always wanted to marry Camilla but the family did not approve of her. In the end, they both married for love. Compared to Diana, Camilla is not a beautiful woman, but she is the woman Charles loved and Charles is the man she loved. Instead of perpetuating the fairy tale nonsense foisted on poor 19 year old Diana, celebrate the fact that a man and woman who loved each other finally were able to be together. Charles' grandmother and her gaggle of old biddies are to blame for the Diana Charles marriage travesty.
