PP here. Any strength used to excess can become a weakness. His quiet determination could be a weakness if it wasn't "quiet". "Loud" determination can be off putting in many ways. His mother did an amazing job in teaching him the right way to succeed. And she helped me understand that I played a role in it as well.

Same here. Actually, I never really had a list, other than don't be a drug addict. I didn't realize there are other kinds of assholes than just drug addicts. So naive.

These days I want someone who's passionate, loves to kiss, loves to touch. Likes to talk. As for the laundry list just be a nice normal person.
