Right! Need to come up with another angle. I am intrigued with the interesting architecture of Meri's rental house - the waterfall, the elevator, the outdated-ness. That's honestly been the most interesting part of this season for me.

Do you have a favorite SW? They all have some good points, for me. I admire how Christine appears to be so carefree and fun and go-with-the-flow (except for when it comes to living in one house!) Meri does some "over it" in many respects, but something is keeping her there. Not sure if she stays for religious reasons for because she likes the family community. She does seem to be close to some of the kids.

The show needs to end. They all seem so completely miserable with one another, with being married to him, and with this ridiculous move and all of the financial troubles. I feel like every episode this season has been exactly the same talking about how he wants one house and nobody else does.

Why Flagstaff, I wonder? I also wondered if the move was mainly to provide a new story line. Meri living in the largest house could also be part of the story line. They had a workable setup in Vegas but supposedly were tired of Vegas. It seems like Cody just gets restless and wants to move every few years.

I think it was many things. Kody’s itchy feet, Las Vegas heat, story line, sin city, the mass shooting there- a few of their children were supposed to be at that concert. The show as deteriorated and they generally only have one nugget with each show- I wish they would talk to the kids again.

Yeah, w the older kids having moved out, they've lost those story lines, too. They should talk to the kids about how they've adjusted.

These people make me want to bang my head against a wall. How is it possible to make such poor financial decisions? If you have four mortgages and you want to build 4 houses or one mega house and you are feeling STRAPPED for CASH and are threatening to move your family back to where you came from, wouldn't you try to make reasonable renting decisions instead of renting a MASSIVE place for one person? Looking at you, Meri. Why?!

Wouldn’t allowing polygamous marriages and then having them file all as married joint filing solve that abuse? If the government stopped vilifying the practice, couldn’t they collect more tax revenue and eliminate the fraud? It is similar to states who legalized marijuana and collect taxes from the sale (and a significant amount too) versus places that have decriminalized it but sale is still illegal and so no tax revenue is generated.

Only the first wife is the legal wife. All the other wives in polygamous unions file for benefits as a single mother with dependent children. In Mormon talk it is called "bleeding the beast" and it means to take whatever you can from the federal and state government. Polygamy costs the U.S. a lot in IRS fraud and tax dollars. Note how few of the mothers (IRL - not the show - those moms live off the per diems for the show) in polygamous relationships have real jobs. How do they support themselves and their children?
