I agree. The liberals need them for votes and the republicans need them to make more money.
I won't believe that any administration will do anything until they jail AND fine those that willingly hire illegal aliens. Make E-Verify mandatory.
Illegals don't vote. Even trying to vote means no green card ever. They all know this.
They had someone on tape talking about registering illegal immigrants to vote. You don't need any proof of legal residence in MD in order to register to vote.
Anonymous wrote:OP - to answer your question why people support illegal immigration, see who are supporting it. Democrats. Because illegal immigrants and their undocumented children or their US citizen children vote democrats. That's one and only reason why people support any illegal behavior.
Anonymous wrote:I don't defend illegal immigration, per se, but I will defend illegal immigrants. If we want to stop people coming here, take away the incentive to do so. Crack down on the people who employ undocumented immigrants (a far easier thing to do anyway since one prosecution will stop dozens or more undocumented workers). Stop the insane "War on Drugs" that has led to cartels taking over large regions in Latin America, destabilizing the countries in which they operate.
If you're not willing to do these things, I don't think you are serious about stopping illegal immigration. I think you are just trying to target people who look, eat, and talk differently.

If you overstay your visa, you are illegal.
What part of this do WaPo, CASA, RAZA and illegal apologists not understand?
Being sympathetic to the plight of others is noble. But the US has only limited resources and charity begins at home. We have poor, uneducated inner city blacks, unemployed Appalachian whites and American Indians with desperate health and social needs. Yet, illegals cross our borders and suck up those resources before the American needy get them. Illegals even get faster medical care than veterans.
This is wrong!
And we need to get our priorities in order.

Most likely true but that doesn't change the fact that they violated the law to enter. I can go to Japan and work my ass off but that doesn't change the fact that I broke Japanese laws and that the Japanese government can remove me.
Because they are fleeing horrible situations and want a better life for their children. Americans do not know what it is to have no hope.
Likewise the American appetite for drugs has ruined other countries. I welcome immigrants and I don't get too worked up concerning paperwork because just like Trump supporters the immigrants who are here without the proper paperwork have been forgotten by the elites. I am surprised Trump supporters don't have more empathy.

Anonymous[b wrote:]Democrats support it because they are under pressure from the Hispanic lobby and want their votes.[/b]
Republicans go along with it because they are cheap labor that business wants.

"People do not do things to you. They do things for themselves."
They're not coming here to steal your American Dream or that landscaping job you would never deign to work. They're not coming here to gobble up your child's teachers' attention or snatch up those cheap 2 bedroom apartments in which you again would never deign to live.
They are coming here because they have no viable method of survival left in their home country. They can't keep their children safe. They cannot work. Their kids can't get an education. They have no healthcare. You think Mexican immigrants who swim across the river WANT to have to put the lives of their children in the hands of a coyote who may or may not get them to safety? To have them sleep under a desert bush the during the day and then even if they make it here live in constant fear of authority? You think Syrian refugees want to risk their kids' lives on an inflatable raft packed with 200 people or have their kids sleep on the cold ground under a tree in some no mans land between borders?
Seriously, when THAT is your GOOD option, you have my full blessing in doing whatever you can to get your family to safety and security. Be it here or anywhere.
Mexico started about the same time as US and Canada. So be it. All the people who want to come here don't fit. Let our unemployed citizens work on chicken farms. No benefits unless they work...concept of EITC.
Length of time a country has existed has nothing to do with the quality of life for citizens of that country.
Not the PP but you are saying we have wide open borders? Why should only those that sneak in more carefully get to stay. Newsflash: Most countries below have poverty. I think it is pretty rude of them to leave their country and countrymen behind in violence and break a law to sneak into another country. Then expect empathy and handouts. You realize our middle class is already shrinking extremely fast. We are also on our way to be a third world country. Letting everyone come in is ridiculous. Letting those that are the sneakiness in stay is ridiculous. Your comments to try and act empathetic will not help our country become better. There is a law. It needs to be upheld.
