So you and the other prior posters seem to agree that SSSA will be at the bottom? Weren't they a top rated team last year?

I don't buy into the early recruiting or who has a more talented freshman class vs who does not. It is so hard to gauage which players will develop into impact players by the time they are juniors and even seniors. Until we know what kind of coach Urick is, it's hard to say how strong Prep will be. Just because Ty Xander's thinks lil Johnny is a top XYZ recruit in the class of 2020 or 2019, don't just assume it will elevate the program.

I think the IAC will come down to Landon and Bullis this Spring.

Is Bullis poaching from other privates or publics?

Landon will be very good this Spring and then looks to graduate a large, talented senior class. They will still have a couple top players come back in 2018 (Epstein), but look to be down. Prep has some really good young talent. They have a couple talented juniors enormously talented sophomore class and some very talented freshmen who should contribute right away. Next year, I know two freshmen who will matriculate in the Fall of 2017 who are tremendous talents.

I agree that Landon is a clear IAC #1 (and a top national team) and think the rest of the IAC will be pretty equal.
As others have noted, Prep is down, lost huge Sr. class talent in Lindsay and Railey, and has a new coach. Bullis lost even more, but has been on recruiting warpath. SSSAS lost as much to graduation as either Prep or Bullis and lost its star head coach
EHS has a handful of young players with tremendous talent, but no depth. Based on reports here, appears that STA will be improved, but hard to see it as a top club based on 2016 play/results.
All things considered, it appears that 2nd place is up for grabs. My $$ is on Prep or Bullis, with EHS as a wild card

This year is PVI's chance, but even with a win or 2 against top schools I wouldnt elevate them to "top tier" until the program stabilizes after the Loudoun move and it gets a coaching upgrade. Talent takes a dip after this year and they have consistently underperformed their promise(s).

I don't know much about PVI, but I don't think they have ever won a WCAC championship or a Virginia Private State. They have always had a very good team but as the previous poster has mentioned they are not at the top tier in the DMV yet. If they can beat Prep, Landon, GZ, Bullis or win a Virginia Private Championship then they will be considered in the top tier. But as of now just a very good team.
