No, we shouldn't. I for one do not like walking out of a Panera bread in Springfield with my young daughters and having a man "shoo" us away from the outside tables because his harm of burkas are eating outside with him and his other friends. Scared the crap out of my daughter and her friends, this is not the Middle East and I could care less about their repressive culture.
similar situation happened to me at a different place. I stared him down, though. I will not be intimidated into changing anything I do in my day to day life. This is my worry. They leave oppressive countries and bring their crap here. No thank you.
The Starbucks in the Burlington Coat Factory shopping center in Bailey's Crossroads has been taken over by Middle Eastern men who monopolize the tables both inside and outside. It is very uncomfortable even walking by them because of their nasty comments.
I'm quite sure you invited the comments based on your attitude.

Neither are French beach goers wearing burkinis. But if you persecute enough of them, probably one of their kids will get angry at government oppression and do something very bad in response. Because to them it is tyranny, and any sane person would fight tyranny.
And there is your problem with Islam. Europe has a mostly Christian history anyways bad has been widely secular for a long time. Most countries where Islamists come from still live in the past by 500 years. They haven't progressed.
Second, it's not tyranny. The Nuns aren't part of a religion that is bombing buses, shooting up soccer stadiums and mustering journalists
NP. It's tyranny because you have a gov't telling people what they can or cannot wear.
If a person *really* wanted to hurt people at the beach, there's nothing to stop them from wearing a nun's habit and hiding a gun or bomb under there. These extremists are known to try to blend in with the public.
Below is the result of the law. On French beaches if you wear a tunic to protect yourself from the sun the police will show up and force you to remove some of your clothing and then fine you (for wearing an outfit not respecting good morals) because they think a tunic is a burka and a tichel is a hijab. Men of course can wear long sleeves shirts at the beach, just not woman.
A government forcing woman to disrobe in public and expose a certain percent of her arms and legs is as bad as the government that forces her to cover them up.

8:33 Atheist poster here. This law is 100% wrong and discriminatory. I don't agree with full facial veil, but there's nothing wrong with what these ladies are wearing. It's also good protection from the sun. Like I said, I'm no fan of Islam, or any religion, but there's no good reason to ban these women from wearing these outfits. It could also rob them of their rights to use the public beach - whether it's their husband not letting them go because they can't cover, or whether they feel uncomfortable not being able to cover. 100% stupid and wrong.
There are beaches in their own countries or other places to go. They can go there.

Not it's not. Do you have an issue when someone bans Baggie pants?
If someone wanted to hurt someone in the beach - like Islamic terrorists did in Algeria a few years ago at a beach resort killing a dozen or more - they would do it. You're right, but the last time Catholics shot uo a bunch of people on the beach was ....oh that's right...never

But if I am made to feel uncomfortable in a public place because I am a woman, I will be pissed. If my DD is, I will be absolutely livid. I have no tolerance for anyone making her feel second class because she's a girl.
Too late. HRC is like 15 points ahead of idiot Trump. Obama is pumping in tens of thousands of muslims before he leaves office. Liberturds never see the light. Lets all vote HRC so that these Muslim men can pretend to be transgendered women and go to the ladies room. Oh boy, what a great Country the Dems are giving us. Too many idiots in this Country are more concerned about electing a Dem, even a thieving one, that a bozo Trump. I say, lets elect someone that doesn't want us to look like France in 10 yrs. If you haven't lived in the Middle East like I have, and you vote HRC, hell yes .... You are an IDIOT
