Kids have been fine in south Arlington elem and middle schools, I'm sure they will do fine at Wakefield and much better odds of acceptance for UVA and W&M

The last time Arlington Magazine published the college admissions data for the Arlington high schools, the Wakefield admissions to top schools were less than impressive. And looking at the standardized test scores, not even the white or Asian kids at Wakefield do very well.

Of course a school where half of the kids are on free and reduced lunch and dont speak English at home is going to send fewer kids to the Ivy League than a school where less than 15% of the kids are on free lunch and 65% are white. But unless boundariesl change dramatically, Wakeifled will still have fewer single family homes in its boundaries than either Yorktown or W-L, so it will likely still be different demographically from the other Arlington high schools.
