The BLM bashers have it totally backwards. Nobody is saying anyone should be allowed to get away with crime. The problem BLM is addressing is of cops who feel like they are above the law. Nobody is above the law, not black teens, and not cops either. They are not doing "damage" - they are restoring accountability, which in turn restores trust and transparency and respect for police. There has for example been far greater adoption of body cameras as a result of BLM which protects good cops and also helps provide evidence for prosecution.

Look, nobody disagrees with you that "black on black violence" is a problem but bringing it up is an irrelevant non-sequitur. It's about as irrelevant as bringing up the fact that white people are more likely to be victims of violent crime at the hands of other whites. What does black on black violence or white on white violence have to do with police brutality?
Again, BLM isn't about generalized violence, it's specifically about police brutality. Arresting and/or beating blacks for no reason other than that cops think they match the general description of some random perp in that only one characteristic is shared (being black) doesn't cut it. They are trying to deal with one issue at a time. Maybe that's not a great strategy either, but at least it would start improving trust so that the black-on-black violence issue can be more effectively dealt with.
And because of BLM aggressive stances, they have police afraid to do their job at all, because they don't want to end up on youtube and vilified. Even the most benign policing nowadays is regarded by BLM as brutality, and BLM completely ignores the violence black teens have brought down upon their own communities, never mind those outside them. They are doing more damage then good, and are being aided by people who need to be perceived as 'do-gooders'.
