Both Hillary and Trump have Jewish grandchildren. Sanders is Jewish. All will be an improvement for the jewish people over Obama. The Jewish people are split among the different candidates and all the candidates will be an improvement over Obama who didn't meet with Netanyahu who he came to meet with congress.

Sanders would throw Israel to Iran as a thank you gift.

Hillary's grandchildren aren't Jewish. They have a Jewish father (and a Grandfather who's a felon but that's another matter). Ivanka had an orthodox conversion so, yes, her children are Jewish.

As a Jewish voter, I don't care what your connection to Judaism is. Sanders by Jewish law is Jewish but I would never, ever support him.

Jewish mom here. Voted for Rubio in the primary but will pull the lever for Trump. Jewish voters aren't happy with the choices we have but we won't stay home on Nov 8.

I do think Hillary will carry the Jewish vote and then some, but, as I said, there are few who are truly happy about voting for her. I'm from a liberal northeast city with lots of liberal Jewish friends and family. No one is thrilled.

This is actually an interesting question. I have seen a lot of theories. Obviously, I have my own biases on this topic and I think that any Trump supporter -- Jewish or otherwise -- is misguided (I wouldn't use the word "stupid"). In my opinion, many Trump supporters delude themselves about his positions. We see that even in this thread where Trump supporters can't bring themselves to admit that Trump is playing with fire where anti-Semitism is concerned. Just as posters here see Trump's close association with Jews and therefore ignore any hint that he might be condoning anti-Semitism, Jews can do the same thing. Moreover, Trump's anti-Muslim and "tough on terrorism" positions are viewed favorably by many pro-Israel hardliners (Jewish and non-Jewish alike).

Ultimately, the Jewish community, like other groups, is not monolithic. Jews have long been associated with neo-conservativism and many neocons are rejecting Trump. That has actually provoked some of the anti-Semitism. Of course, most US Jews are liberal and wouldn't dream of voting for Trump under any circumstances. So, Trump is not left with a lot of Jewish supporters. Of course, when one of those is Sheldon Adelson who plans to spend $100 million in support of Trump, a few is all you need. Adelson is a bit of a crackpot who probably assumes he can get Trump to do his bidding vis-a-vis Israel and also help in business and legal predicaments.

Good post, Jeff. Lots of Trump's extremist views are getting "white washed" or glossed over, now that he is the Republican candidate. It's good to keep them front and center.

i am not saying they don't. there reports out there that they do. i am just not sure what they see in him. anti-islam, anti-hispanic ok. anti-semitic, i don't see it.

If you venture into Stormfront to see what the "White Nationalists" have to say on the topic, some of them actually don't like Trump because of his ties to Jews. Others, like Trump inspire of his ties:

https://www.stormfront.org/forum/t1132970/

We all know that Trump isn't perfect. If you keep waiting around for the great White messiah to come save your butt, you'll be waiting around in vain for the rest of your life. Trump is the -only- candidate with any potential whatsoever for getting us started on the right track. What he has done in these last few months, has been incredible. Look at how things are changing around the nation already, people are speaking up, it's becoming OKAY to speak about non-P.C. things in public again. Decades of communist liberal brainwashing is finally being confronted, and Trump has had a whole lot to do with that.

Yes his daughter married a jew. I don't like that one bit. But I'll just about bet there are people related to you, that do things I wouldn't approve of. I wouldn't judge you for what they might do. Has he done business with jews? Yes. So has every other wealthy person in the world at this point. Again, he isn't perfect, but he's miles ahead of the rest, and the only decent shot we have right now. Baby steps, man. It all has to start somewhere, and I think that at Worst, Trump as president can't possibly do more harm than the others. At best, we get a wall between us and Mexico, improved relations with Russia, etc.

Others think Trump is the real deal:

The question for me is why would he say these things? He knows he will lose money and business deals because of these positions. He knows people will hate him for it. He knew they weren't popular positions to take. So why enter the race with such issues? He really had nothing to gain from taking these positions, he had everything to lose.

I believe he is genuine. Just my two cents.

or

Sometimes white nationalism seems like an unrealistic pipe dream, that is like a dog chasing its tail. No person who is openly a white nationalist is electable as a president. Trump does not have to be a white nationalist for him to do positive things for our country. He has many good, even great ideas. If he plays well with jews, fine. He does not strike me as a zionist or fixated on israel, like other canidates. He is the best out of everyone in my opinion.

oh looks here! What...what....

This does not look good for Hillary. No doubt she has denounced this individuals, eh?

*these, not this

Hillary must agree with these people. By the logic of the OP, he agrees with these people because he supports a candidate who did not denounces these individuals. This racist thread should be locked and the OP banned!

Can you show me where Clinton was asked about those people? Is there any evidence that she even knows about them? Please stop trolling. It is pretty clear that you won't criticize or demonstrate any discomfort with your ant-Semitic political allies. If you have nothing productive to add to this thread, please move on.

Thats it.

I am really confused. We are not debating whether Trump is anti-Semitic. Do you constantly return to this straw man because:

1) you don't believe there are anti-Semites supporting Trump;

2) because you don't believe that Trump dodged questions about that support and Melania blamed the victim;

3) because you don't care about anti-Semites with whom you are allied; or

4) you are glad to have anti-Semitic support because you actually agree with the sentiments?

Surely, both Hillary and Trump supporters will have anti semites in their voter pools. And misogynists, anti catholics, anti muslims, anti immigrants, anti all kinds of things. For me personally, I do not in any way attribute any of these sentiments to either candidate. If i were trump, i wouldnt even lower myself to any anti semitism discussion because he has zero association with it. Its so base, i wouldnt go there.

Whether he wanted to lower himself to it or not, he was directly asked about the issue. He dodged the question. Twice. Melania went further and said the journalist brought the attacks on herself. Trump sent out multiple tweets today about something he saw on CNN. Yet, he can't bring himself to respond to a direct question about anti-Semitism?

I guarantee that if Clinton is asked about any anti-anythings that have launched attacks against her critics, she will denounce them. She won't dodge the question or blame the victims.

Seriously?

If you find, as you say, that people constantly misconstrue your point, or have 'reading comprehension issues', the problem probably comes from you, in the form of word games and twisted logic
