But she's not a victim. She was 25, and he was married, a superior, and the President of the US and all. What did she think was going to happen? Did she really think she wasn't going to get caught? I'm sorry but I have a real problem with her playing the victim.
She is a human and deserves respect, forgiveness, redemption. But she was really playing with fire and old enough to know better.
She was actually only 22.
22 is so young.
I was still in my senior year of college.
I don't fault her at all.
The one that should have acted like an adult was Clinton.

But, I do feel for her that her life was effectively ruined at an early age.
And yes, Bill was way more to blame.
I will never understand why she told LT about having sex with Bill. I mean, how did that convo even start?
Bill could have had anyone - she lacked discretion. At least don't talk about it!
He was impeached for lying about a blowjob
I never understood saving the sperm stained blue dress. Why?
I left that part out of my post, but yeah - GROSS, girl!
I really am conflicted about the whole thing. She wasn't blameless, but HE should have known better. He's a dirty old man who is a predator, but also a brilliant politician. It kills me that he couldn't keep his dick in his pants or at least pick the right places to stick it so that the country didn't have to go through all this nonsense/this will be his legacy.
Full disclosure - I myself interned in the Clinton White House.

Bill Clinton wasn't the first married man she had an affair with. She's a freaking piece of trash and I don't feel sorry for her at all. Do you really think she didn't know what she was doing was wrong? Seriously?
She did. Of course! This isn't about that. It's about it following you for the rest of your life, coming up at anytime, by anyone and everyone. FOREVER!

I can't imagine and kudos to her for picking up the pieces and succumbing to suicide or depression. If she'd blown a random coworker or if she'd kept her yap shut none of this would have happened.Anonymous wrote:When I think back to the stupidest thing I did in my 20s, and then imagine that thing being recorded and disseminated throughout the world, becoming infamous for it, that mistake following me for the rest of my days, it makes me sick. She's a brave lady and I admire her for what she's made of her life in spite of it all.
Am I the only one who didn't do anything stupid in her 20's? When I think back, the big things that happened, were: I moved out of my parents house, I dumped a friend for being insensitive about 9/11, I broke up with a boy who wanted to get married while I didn't feel ready yet, I got someone fired (he deserved it, but I still feel bad), and I moved across the country from family. None of these were bad choices.
There but for the grace of god, girl! Put into the right (or wrong) set of circumstances, any one of us could become a Monica or suffer a similar fate.
You mean having an affair with your married supervisor? Oh yeah, I don't think so.
