NP. I told my Dc that we were not going to participate this year. DC got upset because DC thought they *had* to participate, plus DC wouldn't get all the little (crap) prizes. This is how Boosterthon makes the kids feel. It's not just that PP's kid.
I am not materialistic, and I didn't freak out about boosterthon. I told DC in a very calm manner. After discussing it more, DC agreed, but I had to tell DC that I would get DC a little prize separately. And yes, I have donated to the school. Still, almost every other day during boosterthon pep week, DC would come home asking about doing boosterthon. They are relentless, and it was annoying as hell.
