This sounds like something Amy Schumer would say because apparently feminism is about embracing bitchiness and talking about our vaginas and conquests while drunk. (For the record I find both men and women talking about conquests to be equally obnoxious). We need to go back to having bright, well-educated and articulate women teach us what feminism is about.


Jennifer was not being crass at all. She wasn't being a gutter mouth. But she was gently using some dry humor to demand the respect that she is due. She stood up for herself. Good for her.

I wrote that comment. I also went to Yale, graduated cum laude with a degree in English, and am now a lawyer. I am a bright, well-educated and articulate woman, and I would be happy to teach you more about feminism because it looks like you could stand to learn more about it.

But I'm guessing that last sentence was too assertive and unapologetic for you so you probably don't want to listen to someone like me.

Uh no. Plenty of men get themselves into trouble for acting like assholes. Most recently Leonardo D. Remember Lemon, the news guy who asked women raped by Cosby why they didn't bite his penis or something like that? I am female and it really sets back feminism when people throw around "sexist" without thinking. Save it for actual sexism.


I have no idea about that question that reporter asked. But in this case, Jennifer Lawrence is being jumped on for making a dry joke that no one would think twice of someone like...Leonardo Dicaprio (or any other well liked actor) had made it instead. People would have "gotten it" if Leo had said it. But Jennifer says it and she's not being a nice girl, she's being mean, she's being a b*tch.... It's subtle but it is absolutely there.

It sounds like the question the male reporter asked the Cosby victims is probably a question that some people, like Oprah, could have asked quite easily. Others not so much.

When something extraordinary happens to me it (not often but like recently getting a huge promotion at work) makes me want to be kinder, sweeter and more empathetic to others. 1) You've obviously never been on a set. Acting is hard work and it takes talent.

2) She is above that guy. She is the star. He is a reporter. He is asking for HER time. He needs to be polite to HER. If your CEO correct you, she'd be within her rights. If you are rude to your CEO, you're going to be looking for a job.

Supposedly it wasn't and accident. He was laughing loudly that she won so she bumped him on purpose. He apparently had been talking throughout the night that he couldn't believe she was nominated.

I find this all very hard to believe. Being surprised or shocked at her being nominated is one thing, but giving a shit to this degree just doesn't add up.
