The bar was jam packed with "oldies," some younger people, LOTS of 40ish single women and dirty old men trying to look down the shirts of said women. It was a friendly and lively crowd, I would definitely go again.
The music was difficult to hear though and no space for dancing. More of an upscale bar scene. Very attentive bartenders.
I'm 58 and I would never go to these types of bar scenes. Just too depressing. I hate old being around old desperate balding men. I would much prefer to be among younger people. FWIW, I don't look my age at all...and happily married, so not looking to hook up or anything.

My favorite part is not that she is hates being around old desperate men. That would be just fine.
It is that she hates being around old, desperate, balding men. So balding = desperate for this wonderful lady.
If a man were to say something like about women this board would light up with indignation.

Don't look your age at all? Sure, baby, sure.
