Auntie is in her 60's and young and older guys still hit on her but she lives in another country! in the US guys are more closed up.

I'm the PP just above who said I'm delighted not to be getting attention anymore. By attention, I mean random guys talking me up, or worse, following me. I mean catcalls when I go past a construction site. The kind of attention that sucks, and which I've been doing all I can to avoid since I was 11. Invisibility feels awesome! I'm still the same weight and still fit, so it really is purely a reflection of my age.

I'm 51 and I still get noticed. Probably more so than when I was married and constantly had small kids in tow. But it depends on my mood. If I'm feeling confident and positive, that energy comes through and I get noticed and can strike up a conversation easily. When I'm feeling more introverted and quiet or more focused on my own thoughts, I don't notice if men are seeing me or not. I look better than I did at 40 - I'm divorced, slimmer, generally more confident and friendlier. I think that makes all the difference in the world. That and I'm generally pretty outgoing.

I got my hair done yesterday and was in the supermarket afterward and a much younger guy totally eyed me (I'm 43). I'm tall, blond, hourglass figure, big smile but not particularly pretty but get looks alllll the time. I take it with a grain of salt.

I'm 45. I've always had an extremely voluptuous, hourglass figure. I remember when my family went to Italy when I was 14. I was making traffic jams worse, the men were so forward. My dad threw his big coat over me. Of course I really didn't know what was going on. From that time on men have ogled me. But now, only black and Latino men do, sometimes the odd blue collar MD guy. White men of my SES don't; that stopped when I was around 37. It's like upper middle class white men are afraid of my body.

Because men's worth isn't generally measured by their attractiveness. Women's is, in this patriarchal system we live in. It's an unfortunate fact of life for women.

I've never gotten a freebie in my life from some guy on the other side of a counter. Just average looking woman here.

I do have an absolutely handsome nephew who I love going out to eat with because we actually get great service. Until hanging out with him, I had no idea what I was missing by not being "hot." Can imagine some women are totally stunned when this stops happening, if they've experienced this all their lives.

sometime in my 40s. I have been nothing but happy about it. I hated attention from men (other than the men I was attracted to, of course! But I'm talking about attention from strangers. I don't miss that one bit. And men I know and am attracted to still respond, so that's okay.)

late 40s. I look 10 years younger than my age, though. I was about 49, when I realized the guys behind the deli counter were no longer smiling and winking at me when they handed me my food. I'm not even great looking, so I imagine really beautiful women must experience a real crash when the day comes.

My mother was beautiful, and she got depressed in her 40s when she got ill and lost her looks. I think her beauty was her identity, and she felt like no one without it.

Luckily, I've never had that problem. But I do miss the male attention. DH loves my looks, so at least I have that!

When I didn't lose the baby weight. Now that I've lost it, I get noticed again. NBD!

I still get some attention from men my age and older when I make an effort to look nice, but I just don't put forth the effort anymore. I love my comfortable shoes and get sick of applying and removing makeup and doing my hair every day.

It's hard to explain, but it actually makes me feel sad about the past more than sad about not being as attractive anymore.

I'm very tall so only short guys notice me; young short guys noticed me earlier, now old short guys notice me (in my 40s). lol.
