I don't think it works that way. The producers set up all of these visits with friends, and then tell the friends what questions to ask, to make it seem like they're having an organic conversation. Think about all the scenes with Adam talking to that skeevy friend of his. The conversation is always so stilted (as are most of the scenes involving the dads and their friends). I mean, I think about all the lunches I have with friends and rarely are they so very specifically focused on one of my life problems.

They show soccer games, and occasionally other outings.

Can someone recap the scene with Leah and her brother for me? I must have not been paying attention.

Yeah, I wish she realized that she took what was supposed to be a fun afternoon for him playing soccer and made it miserable. So WHAT if he was dancing on the field? He was HAPPY.

They don't film fun whoelsome activities because those are boring and this is a show for entertainment. They want to film the drama, which is why they stage the sit-downs on the couch and in restaurants, while the moms and friends "candidly" discuss the events of that episode's theme.

We've seen Chelsea do some nice stuff. In one epsiode, Chelsea suggested they color and Aubree went and got her box of art supplies, which seems to suggest that's a regular activity for which she knew the routine. Aubree and Isaac are both in organized sports, which their parents attend (and in Kail's case, ruin). "Jace and I are at the art museum" just doesn't film good TV. Although we've seen Barbara play with Jace a lot. As far as i'm concerned, she's the mom being profiled in that story.

Leah was such a mess in that last episode. The scene with her mother showed just how messed up she really is. I don't blame Corey for wanting to protect the kids, and I don't blame Jeremy for not wanting to be a part of her downward spiral. I wouldn't doubt that a lot of their issues centered around money; there is one episode where he was upset about her spending a lot of money, when they should have been sitting pretty, with the money she receives from the show. I hope she can get the help she needs, but from what I've read about her life recently, it doesn't sound like she's doing much better or providing more stability for her daughters.

The scene with her brother made it very clear she is using. And telling her mother that she knew she was taking too many pain pills. Corey was right, she won't get better in rehab if she doesn't admit why she's there. I hope when she finally got there she told the truth.

Leah seems to be surrounded by enablers--especially her family. I hope when she went away she was able to accept and admit her addiction- she won't get better until she does.

So true. And that scene with her brother was just heartbreaking to watch.

Point taken, but I don't believe he started working out of town until after they were married. It changed because the better paying jobs weren't local, burns don't know that she could've foreseen that. 100% agree with the sentiment that she is a mess though.

I can't keep up with Leah's name changes. Does anyone know what she is using for her last name now? XH #2? XH #1, birth name?
