Kathleen McNutt, a very popular choice with alumni, faculty, staff and students.

She’s been a principal in the diocese for years. It will interesting to see if the current leadership stays in place.

We live in the City of Alexandria and know of a number of waitlisted kids so they certainly don’t accept all that apply. We have a son at SSSAS, and my daughter’s education is easily comparable to the education he is receiving.

I think this Bishop Ireton has been a little harder to get into lately since Paul IV is moving to Loudon. They had an increase in applications.

I have also wondered if PVI's move to Loudon might result in an increase in applications to BI. Curious if anyone has any data regarding the size of this year's pool of applicants to BI?

They could hire stronger math teachers if the salaries were reasonable. There are few qualified applicants each year.

Superintendent is widely respected and appreciated. We heard she was helpful in securing new leadership for BI. I would question your sources as Dr. Curry is going to Ohio.

Who hired the teachers? I’d suspect Dr. Curry isn’t on the front lines of that, reviewing resumes and the like. Is it you? How do you know about quality of applicants?

I heard he was headed to Ohio? Landed as a president at a very impressive HS.

Anyone know what the turnover is looking like this year?

In my experience, I have had a great time at Ireton, I am enrolled in almost all available honors classes and a fine arts class, I did a fall sport and currently doing a spring sport. I must say that if you are planning on sending your kid here than they are going to meet a lot and I mean a lot of different kids. The people you hang out with can really affect your academics.

I've read some stuff about a "party culture" and honestly I know a handful of freshmen who drink and party but thats only a loud minority and virtually anyone else you meet here are nice and welcoming.

Like any other school there are different cliques and "popular" kids, but really, the only people that like the popular kids are eachother, so why does it matter? Just find a good group of genuine friends and thats all you'll need

You've probably heard this but the English and History departments are great! especially in the freshman honors department, the math certainly lacking and the science is for me enojoyable.

Apparently, this years applicants for the class of 2023 was one of the smallest amounts of people who applied. Which is strange because the new building is going to be great and will most likely be done by the end of the year.

You state that you are in all honors classes and that the English department at BI is great but your writing ability indicates otherwise.

Seriously PP?? You are going out of your way to troll a current student who is merely attempting to offer up some helpful thoughts and perspectives regarding the school??? You really ought to be ashamed of yourself. Please, for God's sake, grow up and try to keep it classy.
