That is how she identifies now, so it's most appropriate and respectful to use the chosen name and feminine pronouns she/hers. I doubt it really affects any of us too much which pronoun we type for someone, but it can mean a lot to that person.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:PP, you and others like you can only come up with "hateful" when people disagree with you. Do you insist everyone who doesn't agree with you on everything is "hateful"? Because this is something we see so often with those with more liberal viewpoints. No surprise to me, for that reason.
Yeah, because equating it with wanting to be a puppy and changing species, and referring to it as "butchering" oneself doesn't smack of hate at all. Yeah..... It's not the disagreement that I have issues with. It's how you expressed it. Which was hateful. I'm sorry the truth is somehow surprising to you.
Anonymous wrote:One of the best parts was when he told the story about Kanye convincing Kim why she should support Bruce. Kanye said something like,"I can have the most beautiful wife and child, but I can't be happy if I can't be myself." Of course he's right. I was just surprised that Kanye is the sensitive sage of the Kardashians.

Saying he doesn't socialize and golfs alone makes me think that Kris is the one who orchestrated everything. He was on hormones and had breasts when they met. She knew this. I bet he truly loved her and was probably attracted to her outgoing personality (since he is admittedly shy and more of a loner). She brought him back in the limelight and shored up his finances. On KUWTK she constantly criticized him for being boring. He's not boring...he's just a regular homebody. He also seemed to be the primary caregiver to his young girls (carpools, making lunch, etc). He seems like a family guy who wants a normal life. To blend in. I feel bad that he's alone. He lives alone, but he seems like the type who would prefer to have his family around. He even said that he and Kris would probably still be together if she were cool with his transition.
I had the same reaction. I watched thinking it would be one big train wreck, but it was a very affecting show. I'm old enough to remember Bruce Jenner in 1976 and his status as a superhero. I can't imagine anyone would risk that legacy as a pure publicity stunt. Plus, as the PP said, he's been working on this for a very long time.
His older kids were awesome--he raised them well.
I think he was mostly absent during the 3rd & 4th kids lives after he got involved with the Kardashians.

When she started to transition, it was not a surprise because there was always something unusual (but we didn't know back in the 70s-80s) about her. She is my friend and I care about her regardless of what sex/gender she is! I feel sorry for people who are transgendered. I know they face hateful people who really ignorant. Think about it... why would anyone chose to be a social pariah by a large swath of the population? It is also something that has been seen in every culture through out time.

Who is buying for one minute that Belinda Jenner is not just seeking publicity and the Spotlight instead of speaking for transgenders? What if he really has a mental illness, and instead of taking it seriously, the medical community starts his transition.
Wait, Belinda just revealed that she started transitioning in the 1980s, after two marriages and four children. In his 40s, he spent five years taking hormones, etc.
You mean 'Narcissistic,' and which criteria do you think s/he has?
Just because you have a subscription to Psychology Today doesn't make you a psychologist.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I thought the interview made him come across as a genuine person.
