OK so the best thing about last night's episode was definitely Roger playing the music while Peggy skated around the empty offices. Surreal, joyful, apt.

i love how the staff just shuffled off w/out being dismissed. like sorry buddy, this is bullshit and we know it!

I thought that was telling. Time was, Don and Roger could give those type of speeches and people would listen, follow, and believe. Shows that they're last their prime. I also thought that their failed presentation to McCann had a similar vibe.

I feel so bad for Peggy. Her line of "It isn't that you don't want to know, it is that you choose not to know or you can't go on" was so touching.

My husband took that scene to seem like Weiner was saying kids get in the way - hold you back. The only way to move ahead in life is to be child free, especially if you are a woman.

I took that scene as if Peggy was really regretting her choice - maybe this is what she thought she wanted, and she is happy she has it - but the sacrifice she made to have it is more than she thought it would be.

It was so sad.

And I love that Peter told her about the acquisition. I love that he reminded you a little about their history there.

(and I love the reason why they didn't accept Peter's daughter into that school. Hysterical)

The king ordered it!

Pete Campbell has give us some really awesome lines!

Remember Faye's line when Don told her he was marrying Megan: "I hope she knows you only like the beginnings of things!"

This week's bar scene would have made for an epic finale scene to wrap the series. One of the few we wouldn't question or bitch about.

This show is boring if you are uninterested in character development, the modernization of the American workplace, and how women's roles at work and in society evolved over the 1960s.

And if you aren't interested in those things, why on earth do you even watch this show?

Indeed. Another boring episode.

Peggy's relationship with Stan has really evolved over the years. Remember the time Don made them work together in a hotel room? Stan wouldn't stop looking at the porn magazines so Peggy stripped naked so he would get to work. That was Mad Men at its finest.

McCann promised to keep them independent partly so they could continue to service and make money off of conflicts.

Finally caught up. That was a fantastic episode! Everybody was great; there was nothing off about it. I'm going to miss this show ...
