Give it up! There have been some great lawyers. But this question has been put to bed, definitively, on DCUM. Lawyers can make a lot of money. They also have a whiff of the disreputable, the scheming, about them. Only quacks, Dr. Oz and ageless plastic surgeons who only do boob jobs have this whiff in the medical field.

No, the trauma surgeon will stop the bleeding , the anesthesiologist will obtain the airway and resuscitate, the radiologist will read the films, and the intensivist (often the surgeon or anesthesiologist) will take care of you post op.

From this lay person, when someone tells me they are a lawyer, I wonder about their character, I assume the worst. When someone tells me they are a doctor, I respect them.

This may be the stupidest question in the history of DCUM....that is saying a lot.

First, money does not equal prestige....in fact, money is used to get people to do things they would not do....

I have cancer and heart disease. Doctors keep me alive...Lawyers want my money.

There are some honorable lawyers....think of Civil Rights lawyers, etc. But, with a few exceptions, of course doctors are more prestigious. So are teachers, scientists, etc.

The best doctors go into medicine for the good of the people....the pest lawyers go in to line there pockets.

At this point, it's clear that the OP is either:

--the densest individual on the planet

--a troll (and a crazy one at that)
