Hi PP, you quoted my response. I guess it just seemed that she came across as not experienced. I do know of friends who were married at even younger ages, like 24, and those are solid, long-lasting marriages, still (we're in our late 30s/early 40s now). And, same thing like other seasons, we don't see/hear all the conversations the couple may have. It's funny, I didn't think on last season that Sean and Catherine were a match; she came across as distant, not making much eye contact when they spoke. But sure enough, so far, they seem to be going strong. With Nikki, it was like she mainly was infatuated with the guy; of course liking their intimacy moments, but same comment as before (like with the other gals), nothing of substance was being discussed (that we saw/heard). Ah well, time will tell how things go.

I didn't know she's going for a modeling career on the side (as 23:23 wrote), but if so, then it isn't a surprise she'd gladly benefit from whatever exposure this brings; she certainly liked showing her body, dressing up, etc.

I'm the one who noted her side modeling career - there are a few shots of her modeling swim suits in US Weekly that I saw while waiting for a Dr's appointment. I'm not sure how serious she is about it, but that's the only reason to stick around that I can see. Although, she must be pissed that JP blew their chance at a media blitz. If that is why she stuck around, they'll probably break up soon now that it's all over.

A few people have brought up how young she is but she's 26. That's not that young - especially for Kansas - in terms of being on the marriage market. I'm from LA, not exactly the land of matrimony, and I was 26 when I got married. I had enough life experience to recognize that just because a man is charming and handsome doesn't make him good BF or husband material; in fact, the charming bit could be a huge red flag. Maybe I was just lucky to learn things the hard way at a "young" age but I doubt that - most 26 year olds are capable of making intelligent courtship decisions. Some just choose not to take the endevour seriously or they have unfortunately bought into this "fairytale" nonsense and allow themselves to get swept up in the emotional whirlwind of falling in love, without thinking through the practical aspects of what it would be like to live with some one like this every day.

Nevertheless, Juan Pablo's cover was blown and now the whole world knows how much of D-bag he is. It's scary!:-/.

this is so interesting to me. i've seen this on other sites as well as a friend of mine who compared his personailty to someone she dated and loved dearly as NPD. i tried so hard to feel bad for him but realized he really doesn't give AF about anyone but himself. i am finally wathcing after the final rose and he's confusing honestly for rudeness and putting people off.

and i'd like to echo other posters nikki looks likes a complete fool up there beside him and uncomfortable w/his answers and behaviour though her words say otherwise. eye, eye, eye! so uncomfortable watching.

Wow, all season long I thought this guy isn't very deep, seems to rely excessively on the physical as as substitute for substance - I guess I was giving him the benefit of the doubt by just assuming he was shallow but hey, not every one's deep; and shallow people can still manage to find love and be happy. I was rooting for him.

Turns out he fooled me too - it was all an act! Clare, of all the women, seemed the most gullible and even she noted he was a jerk off camera. Wow, just awful. He can't engage in a real conversation - not even a simple, "how are you feeling?" with a woman who loves you, or a more complex - what was that like for you? from the host of the show you signed up to be on. He was downright hostile to CH, who I'm no fan of myself, but there are softer ways to dance around a question.

Nikki, I had been rooting for all season. She was my favorite from the second episode but now I'm thinking either she's not really looking for marriage anyway or maybe she just sees this as a way to boost her modeling career that she has going on the side. If it's the later, then at least she's getting something out of this. It was hard to watch her stiffle her emotional needs on the final night and accept "I like you a lot" - what a price to pay for fame. I feel like a watched her let a little piece of herself die as she accepted that rose.

And kuddos to Des! Do you remember her response at the Men Tell All when JP asked why he didn't get a one-on-one date? She said she just wasn't feeling it - she didn't feel a connection with him, which is what all the women finally concluded and that's because there's nothing there to connect with! Well, almost all but Nikki surely can't be far behind.

Did JP really say to Clare, "I loved f-ing you"???

Yes he really did. I believe he said, "I feel like I don't know you that well, but I really enjoyed f-ing you." Classy guy.

Wow. Seriously? Must be for show, right?

Yes, definitely no big loss to ABC. The less I have to see this tool's face, the better.
