This is not true. The SS participated in killing Jewish civilians and other civilians in many places. The Germans killed a lot of civilians outside of the camps.

There is evidence that this man's unit was present at some of these killings in the Ukraine and he was an officer. He is legally and morally liable.
Partisans and allies also killed other civilians
If the victims were not jewish, then it is not holocaust. Innocent died every day.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Poland is asking for him. He worked for the Ukrainian ss. The crimes of the partisans have not been brought to justice.
So, officers in the army that fought to keep the Nazis in power, and to spread their power across Europe, where they could have access to more innocent victims, were unrelated to the Holocaust? Is that your argument?

It is regrettable that since the term "Holocaust" was created 30 years after the war ended that the suffering of the Jews has come to overshadow the suffering of the world community during the Facsist Era.
Why are the other 5.2 Holocaust victims virtually ignored in this thread? Why has the Rape of Nanking or the wholesale rape of German women old and young in May 1945, been ignored as if they deserved it.
The slaughter of the Jews in WWII by the Germans was awful beyond my ability to articulate the horror, however it is frustrating that so many people have forgotten the full scope and horrors of that war and that the full extend of the suffering of tens of millions of non- Jewish people as well.
Jewish people are also being manipulated by the Holocaust Saga. The Holocaust is a great unifying force in the American Jewish Community. It is portrayed as a uniquely Jewish tragedy, which of course it was not. This man commited crimes against himanity and for this he should be punished.
I agree, but I think the Jewish community has done a magnificent job in making sure that everyone remembers about the Jewish victims. To bring up the other 4-5 million people targeted for the ethnicity, religion, sexuality, etc. one would be accused of ignoring the Jewish plight and labeled anti-Semite. The word holocaust was around long before 1933, but it has now been co-opt by what happened to the Jewish people (only) of WWII. There was DCUm thread a year ago and somebody called what happened to those people in Rwanda a holocaust and many people objected saying that that word was now off limit to all other mass atrocities. I guess it has been patented like Komen's pink ribbons.

No. It is all equally horrifying. You diminish it by your accusations.
We Americans tend to talk about The Civil War too, referring to our war between the states. Hardly the only civil war. The events of WWII are hardly the only holocaust, though in common speech, it is referred to as The Holocaust. That doesn't change the meaning of the word, and sadly, there are many places since where it can be applied. It's so easy to post anonymously complaining about Jews taking yet another thing they are not entitled to (role a survivors from the tragic history of Nazi Germany/ victims of holocaust). It is so much more difficult to be part of the active force of people who continually voice objection --or better, turn themselves to action-- when any group of people sees another as despisable and dispensable.

That's the link to the little 7 year old AA "woman". You can also google her and find more information.
I don't think that exposure and that story is so much about Caucasian vs AA as it is about socioeconomic status.
