Subject: Just got AAP screening file from AAP teacher and My DC's GBRS was 9, NAT 145 and VQN 93.
nnat 145, cogat(fxat) 76%, gbrs 12, what's the likely of him getting in AAP? would you recommend WISC test?

In 1964, FCPS created a GT Center program for about 1% of the 3rd through 8th grade students. The Center program expanded fairly quickly to include about 5% of 3rd through 8th grade students

Not AAp, born elsewhere and was ESOL. Wrote theory of relativity at a young age. Decided that E=MC squared. Should he apply for AAP?

AAP does start in K. You just didn't realize that because it isn't called AAP at that level. "Junior Great Books", "Young Scholars" (suposedly for under represented students - bunch of malarky - they put who they want!) There is a lot that FCPS doesn't make public about there "tracking". And, BTW, if you wanted the thread to "die" why did you respond? Idiot!

Summa Cum Laude with Honors - 9th grade. Rhodes Scholar from College at age 18. Fairfax County AAP starting in K. A lot of prepping from my parents.
