For me it really truly is genetics. I used to have binge eating disorder. I would eat junk food until it hurt several times a week but I never went more than five pounds over my natural weight. While pregnant, I ate an extra thousand calories a day. I only gained 28 lbs. I lost all but two pounds in two weeks. On the other hand, if I want to lose five pounds, its hard. I can't do it without going hungry and it always comes back. My body likes being a particular size and I can't do much to change that. I'm luck that it likes being thin.
