Wrong! The firearm transfer has to be handled through a Federal Firearms License holder (FFL). The transaction is face to face with a photo ID required. Some states (perhaps all) require a background check (NICS - FBI) before transferring.
So in other words, nothing that would have prevented this guy from buying whatever he wanted.
No, in other words, you were either wrong (labeled by some as ignorant) or being dishonest (called by some a LIE) in your post. So, are you ignorant or a liar?
Additionally, he couldn't have purchased a handgun until he was 21 (and met the other requirements of course); http://www.cga.ct.gov/2009/pub/chap529.htm#Sec29-34.htm. There are some reports that he tried to purchase long guns from Dick's Sporting Goods and was denied but law enforcement hasn't verified that yet. Still, he would've had to go through the checks that both CT and the feds require regardless of if he purchased locally or online. Online dealers are not exempt from the same transfer requirements as local dealers.

Maybe an in-person psychiatric evaluation for aspiring gun slingers would be more appropriate-- which would no doubt cost a lot of money... which would further discourage gun totin'.

Well, the weapon (a semi-autiomatic rifle used by soldiers in Afghanistan) that he used to slaughter 26 innocent people, for one.
So, you're making up your own definitions to suit your point of view. Ok, I understand now.
No, you pathetic ignoramus, I am just repeating what the first responders and investigators have reported.

Anonymous wrote:It's a small mercy that he killed his mother. Would you want to live knowing that your guns that you had to have because of your idiotic hobby were used by your mentally ill son to kill so many little children? Who would want to live with that? Besides her house and financial assets, she probably had life insurance. If the Lanza family has any sense, they will give every dime to the families of the victims.
