wow!
Ashton is a mini-Potomac . . . no lie.
It is close to Olney and Brookeville.
And PLEASE don't tell me you have never heard of either one!
I have heard of Olney, but couldn't place it on a map with a gun to me head. Brookville is as much of a mystery as Ashton. Ask yourself - why on earth would someone who lives in DC, or Bethesda, or Arlington have ever heard of Brookville?

Our answering machine is not picking up when we call the house... it must have lost power. I am not surprised. Our house is in Falls Church/ Mclean area and we lose power all the time. I hate living in an old farty neighborhood.
You have an answering machine?? It's 2012, not 1992.
NP here. Much better than having that strange male voice answering your calls. The best moment of 2012 for me was when, on the 900th call to my answering machine after the derecho, I finally heard my voice, signifying the return of power. I never sounded so good!

(we have lost power so many times and for such a long time that we decided a generator was the best thing- last summer DH was about to go to surgery, we have two under 5- even our chocolate cookies melted- temps over 100- we've also had to run to a hotel while snow was dumping and got towed out ETC- at least 10 major outages-we got together with our neighbors and got discounts for doing this together).
