I agree with this! Every time people go berserk over thank you notes, I assume 50 and over.
Oh, I was thinking the opposite. People on general parenting flipping out over tiny details about their kid's food, clothes, etc=I always assume around 30, no kids over age 3 or 4.
And I'm thinking, going crazy about a kid's food - around 30, going crazy over thank-you notes - 50 and over. Just a wild guess.

Well, I'm over 50 and not going crazy over thank you notes at all. In fact, many of us have written so many that we're over it.

When I give a gift to younger busy moms, I always say something to the effect that your second gift is to please not write me a note. I do think out of town gifts deserve some kind of acknowledgement so that people know their gifts were received.
I'm the one who said the bolded quote. You know, it wasn't very nice. Sorry about that. I do suspect some of the people are because they seem to adopt the same tone and manner that some of my grandma's nastier friends seemed to take when I was growing up (when 50 seemed MUCH older, obviously!).
And FWIW, I do go a little bit crazy over my child's food (but as I said, I'm 39, not 30). But I'm not anti-juice.
