I don't use "special snowflake" myself. Although when I've seen it used, the poster usually deserved it. As in, "my kid behaves so badly because she's just so gosh-darn smart that her teachers don't get her."

If you take away "special snowflake," a lot of posters are just going to have to respond with "UGH." So take your pick....

Thank you, Saartre.

I hate this too! In many cases "it" can be changed, if you'd just do something about "it."

So I'm totally with you, except for the spelling of Sartre.

Special snowflake. It's only used to deride parents for believing their children are unique and special. I think all kids, and adults, are special and have unique, wonderf talents. Isn't that a good thing?

Ma'am (so insulting and backwards)

I didn't know Barbara Boxer is on DCUM! Uh, I mean, SENATOR Boxer.

ARGHHHHHHHHH

UGH!

women (and it's always women or gay men) who use this in print think it adds emphasis (My inlaws gave us a long list of foods they won't eat. UGH!) (I lost my SmartTrip card - ARGH).

but it's always superfluous. we can accurately guess without the guttural pirate loogey noise that you aren't delighted you lost your SmartTrip card.

Yikes! Had no idea I was so annoying. Ugh. Sorry.

Don't be so judgemental!

...well we all judge, but just to different degrees. No one wants to be judged anymore because everyone has to be "right."

"rich in diversity"

Enough already with that one!

My MIL inappropriately uses the term "PS" all the time. It's an annoying and juvenile expression when used correctly (as a "postscript" follow up piece of information to a story), but it's unbearable when randomly inserted mid-conversation.

Their other favorite move is to describe themselves as an "intellectually superior" poster when you challenge their comments or offer a differing opinion.

Variants:

"Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit, is it?"
"I pity reading teachers with students like you."
"You must have bombed the reading comprehension part of the SATs."

Oh, so cute. So original. Never heard it before.

I'm also tired of hearing, "You know?" several times in a short period, you know?

Oh and bonus points if the guy who utters "It's all good" wears a baseball cap backwards. I just want to explode.

"impacted," as in the local area will be impacted. Sorry! Only teeth and colons can be impacted. Another gift from MBAs, no doubt.

I also dislike paci. It is used only by moms who have older toddlers using them (like over 3 years old).

I want to punch people who say, "It's all good!" No it isn't m*ther f*cker!
