22 (2013 college grad), $51k. I get by just fine, but I wish I didn't have to choose between saving for grad school and saving for a house down payment.

I teach in FCPS. I'm in my early 40's. I make 71K. (I was in another field for 10 years, so I'm not quite as high on the ladder as I might otherwise be at my age.) We haven't had step increases in 5 years.

Lots of people - accomplished professionals with Master's degrees - make far less than 100K. Amazing what people assume around DCUM!

Did you really think teachers make 100K? Or did you think they don't require degrees to teach?


Plenty of teachers in DCPS make $100k.
