Many of my R friends are more libertarian than anything else. Social moderates and fiscal conservatives. I think that trend will continue. I think we just have to wait for some of the old people to die so that the younger crowd can regain control. Although, it is also possible there will be a split in the party over the gay marriage issue. I've seen a lot of my R friends clash with each other on Facebook over the NC Amendment. It has been interesting to watch people I thought were pretty conservative argue against the current state of affairs. Those folks are pretty disillusioned with their party right now.

I actually like Megan McCain. She seems like she'd be a fun person to hang out with. And she has said a lot of things I agree with about the state of the parties in this country - and I am on the opposite side of things from her.
