But I had my first at 28, my mom had her first at 25.

I'm 43. I have friends from high school who are getting their first grandchildren. I have other friends who just had their first child.

My mother was 17 when she had her first child. (She was married. My parents got married quickly and had a baby to take advantage of the Vietnam draft deferment rules.)

I was 32.
