Looking at the rate at which students in DCPS elementary schools exit DCPS before they hit middle or high school, it's safe to say such concerns are not unique to suburbia, hon.

Frankly, you sound like one of the handful of truly obnoxious North Arlington posters who trash Alexandria constantly and can't go a day or two without mentioning the latest Challenge Index. We've heard it all before.

Seriously. I highly doubt anyone on this forum is racist although there are plenty of overly sensitive people on this forum. Those with information on Arlington, a county that prides itself on its diversity, are hardly racist, and stating observations, accurate or not, does not make a person racist. If there is a significant number affluent Asians in Arlington that support the public schools then great! I personally would like to see Chinese and French immersion programs implemented in one of the new elementary schools that planned for the northern part of the county.

Harsh! Of course, there are Asians in Arlington. Just not as many as in Fairfax or Loudoun.

BTW, "everyone" doesn't want to live in Arlington.

No. I live near the county line and there's no significant difference, except to incessant APS boosters, between the Arlington and McLean neighborhoods that straddle the line or, for that matter, between McLean and Yorktown HS.
